our minds from T2T
We judge ourselves, doubt ourselves, criticize ourselves and pretty much tell ourselves why we aren’t good enough to go out and accomplish what we truly want in life. We wouldn’t allow anybody else to talk to us in that way so why do we allow our doubtful mind to. Monitor your self-talk and take the necessary steps to weed out this self defeating behavior. You are NOT your mind, you are the controller of your mind ~ T2T

1 of 4 simples steps to freedom by Jackie Vecchio
Nothing anybody says or does to you has anything to do with you. Each person’s opinion is solely the product of their own life and reality.
It’s hard to imagine this. It’s way easier to get offended, mad, or pissed off or to internalize and believe what they said. Rather than getting consumed by it, obsessed over it and letting it affect you, just let it go. Hear what they say, accept that it is a reflection of their world and poof. See the thought disappear.
This is also true when someone is giving you advice. Have you ever shared your biggest dream? The responses can be all over the place. One person may say, “Good luck with that, maybe you should come back to earth” while another may be all about it, “YES! Go for it!”
Does that mean the first person doesn’t believe in you? Absolutely not. It means (s)he doesn’t believe in himself. In other words, it is hard for that person to imagine your dream in his own realm of possibility.
When someone says something to you, whether it be an insult, piece of advice, or anything at all, connect back to your awareness. Only you can know what is true or not. By taking another person’s opinion of yourself to heart and choosing to believe it, you are doing yourself a huge injustice

The Dash by Linda Ellis
THE DASH
BY L. ELLIS
I READ OF A MAN WHO STOOD TO SPEAK
AT THE FUNERAL OF A FRIEND.
HE REFERRED TO THE DATES ON HER TOMBTONE
FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END.
HE NOTED THAT FIRST CAME THE DATE OF BIRTH
AND HE SPOKE OF THE LAST DATE WITH TEARS,
BUT HE SAID WHAT MATTERED MOST OF ALL
WAS THE DASH BETWEEN THE YEARS.
FOR THAT DASH REPRESENTS ALL THE TIME THAT
SHE HAD SPENT ALIVE ON EARTH
AND NOW ONLY THOSE THAT LOVED HER
KNOW WHAT THAT LINE IS WORTH.
FOR IT MATTERS NOT HOW MUCH WE OWN
THE CARS..THE HOUSE..THE CASH.
WHAT MATTERS IS HOW WE LIVE & LOVE
AND HOW WE SPEND THE DASH.
SO THINK ABOUT THIS LONG AND HARD,
ARE THERE THINGS YOU'D LIKE TO CHANGE?
FOR YOU NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH TIME IS LEFT,
YOU COULD BE AT "DASH MID-RANGE".
IF WE COULD JUST SLOW DOWN ENOUGH
TO CONSIDER WHAT'S TRUE AND REAL,
AND ALWAYS TRY TO UNDERSTAND
THE WAY OTHER PEOPLE FEEL.
AND BE LESS QUICK TO ANGER,
AND SHOW APPRECIATION MORE AND LOVE
THE PEOPLE IN OUR LIVES
WE'VE NEVER LOVED BEFORE.
IF WE TREAT EACH OTHER WITH RESPECT
AND MORE OFTEN WEAR A SMILE
REMEMBER THAT THIS SPECIAL DASH
MIGHT ONLY LAST A WHILE.
SO WHEN YOUR EULOGY HAS BEEN READ
WITH LIFE'S ACTION TO REHASH..
WOULD YOU BE PROUD OF THE THINGS
THEY SAY ABOUT OUR DASH?

another good thought on our perceptions by T2T
We attach emotion and therefore meaning to the situations and circumstances in our lives, thus, we reinforce our beliefs about those things. I know this is obvious, but maybe it is not as clear cut as we may think. If we step back and detach our emotions from situations and look at them purely from a logical standpoint, we will see that there is good and bad in everything we perceive. There is always two sides to the coin and each side is presented to us at different times. One person will perceive a situation as bad where another will perceive it as good. The situation itself is neutral but our beliefs, judgments and prejudices are the defining characteristics for the outcomes.
Take a look at the troublesome circumstances you find yourself in on a regular basis and ask yourself if it is time to take a different approach. Sometimes we automatically react in the same way out of habit and never get past these problems. Ask yourself if it is really worth it to continue seeing these problems in the same way. Is it time to shift from the side of the coin you so often focus on to the other side. Remember…the situation will not change as a fact, but when your perspective changes then the situation will ultimately change in your mind’s eye, and we know that our mind creates reality. Even if it seems like an impossible task you must consciously make the effort. It will seem very difficult at times but always remember that it is just your perceptions you have to overcome and not the external task we face. This may not seem a plausible solution to every situation but any effort no matter how small is a step in the right direction. Retrain your mind to see your habitual reactions to troubles in your life from a new viewpoint. Have a wonderful and productive day ~ T2T

from "the4 hour work week by T Ferris
- “If we define risk as ‘the likelihood of an irreversible negative outcome,’ inaction is the greatest risk of all.”
- “Most people will choose unhappiness over uncertainty.”
- “The options are limitless, but each path begins with the same first step replacing assumptions.”
- “The commonsense rules of the ‘real world’ are a fragile collection of socially reinforced illusions.”
- “Few people choose to (or are able to) measure the results of their action and thus measure their contribution in time. More time equals more self-worth and more reinforcement from those above and around them.”
- “Don’t follow a model that doesn’t work. If the recipe sucks, it doesn’t matter how good a cook you are.”
- “The worst that could happen wasn’t crashing and burning, it was accepting terminal boredom as a tolerable status quo.”
- “You spend two weeks negotiating your new Infiniti with the dealership and got $10,000 off? That’s great. Does your life have a purpose? Are you contributing anything useful to this world, or just shuffling papers, banging on a keyboard, and coming home to a drunken existence on the weekends?”
- “The question you should be asking yourself isn’t, “What do I want” or “What are my goals?” but “What would excite me?”
- “What we fear doing most is usually what we most need to do. As i have heard said, a person’s success in life can usually be measured by the number of uncomfortable conversations he or she is willing to have.”
- “The question is then, how can one achieve the millionaire lifestyle of complete freedom without first having $1,000,000?”
- “The blind quest for cash is a fool’s errand … If you can free your time and location, your money is automatically worth 3-10 times as much.”
- “The fishing is best where the fewest go, and the collective insecurity of the world makes it easy for people to hit home runs while everyone else is aiming for base hits.”
- “You won’t believe what you can accomplish by attempting the impossible with the courage to repeatedly fail better.”
- “It’s lonely at the top. Ninety-nine percent of people in the world are convinced they are incapable of achieving great things, so they aim for mediocre. The level of competition is thus fiercest for “realistic” goals, paradoxically making them the most time-consuming. It’s easier to raise $1,000,000 than it is $100,000. It is easier to pick up the one perfect 10 in the bar than the five 8s.”
- “I’m prepared to do battle for a dream that is worth dreaming.”

Overcome the fear of success Author Anastasiya Goer
He is able who thinks he is able.” ~Buddha
How would you answer the question: “Are you successful in life?”
I know many people who would say that they are not successful; at least they have not reached success in the areas that feel important to them. I have been one of those people.
One day I asked myself “What keeps me from being successful?” It took me a while to come up with the answer but I realized that I was holding myself back.
Why? Well, maybe I was afraid that when I started something I would fail. Maybe I was afraid that I was not “one of those people” who get everything they go after. Maybe I felt that I didn’t deserve success in life.
The truth is that I didn’t believe that I was able. I was not able to be successful, able to be happy, or able to fully enjoy my life. Does this scenario sound familiar to you?
If you want to be truly successful in life (and who doesn’t?) then first of all you have to learn to believe in yourself. If you do not think that you can be successful, then who will?
Life success does not mean that you will not fail but it means that your mistakes will teach you something and show you a better way to get what you want.
These are the tips that have helped me get over the fear of being successful and finally believe in myself:
1. Be positive.
Negative thoughts are like MiracleGrow for fear and self-doubt. Stay away from negative peopleand you will decrease the amount of negativity in your life at least by half.
Practice daily gratitude, write down all the positive events in your life, practice mindfulness and you will notice how your negative attitude will start melting away.
2. Continually remind yourself that you are part of something larger than you.
Fear often has to do with worrying about uncertainty, feeling out of control, and wondering what your life’s purpose is. When you realize you are part of a bigger picture, even if you don’t fully understand what that is, it’s easier to ascertain that you both deserve and need to be successful and happy.
You do the right things, you help people around you, you make being a good person a priority, and you know that this isn’t just about you—it’s also about the bigger picture that you’re part of. These thoughts always give me the courage to try something new and believe that my life is successful because of the doing, not the outcome.
3. Take time to find your authenticity.
Do you have a lot on you? I’m sure you do, and I know that you are doing your best at doing what you have to do. But do you know who you are? Do you know what makes you happy? Do you know your passions?
Do you take time to reflect on your life and figure out your purpose in this world? Unfortunately, most of us get so caught up in responsibilities and goals that we forget to enjoy our lives.
No matter how busy you are, you must make time for yourself. It can be just 10 minutes a day, but this time must belong to you. If you give yourself the luxury of free time then you will notice that the rest of your responsibilities will get easier.
You will be a better parent. You will be able to come up with creative ideas at work (and finally get that promotion.) You will be able to take better care of your health. You will reduce your stress and experience the joy of living.
4. Create your success library.
Sometimes when we lose trust in ourselves we just need a little bit of inspiration to push us in the right direction. There are plenty of ways to find inspiration, but we forget about them when we need them the most.
Create a library of quotes, save articles and success stories that have inspired you, create a library of inspiring movies and videos, or create an album of your fun and happy memories. Turn to this library whenever you have self doubts.
5. Learn.
People are always scared of what they don’t know. My first job was in a web development company. I was scared to death during my first day at work because I didn’t know anything about web and blogs and the words CSS and PHP seemed like medical terms for lethal diseases. I was forced to learn about everything and now I feel absolutely at ease online.
If you have a fear of something you just have to educate yourself about it. It is like walking into a dark room. At first you feel scared and don’t know what to expect but once you turn the light on, everything gets clear and simple.
6. Live in balance.
No matter how important success might seem to you, it is still important to follow it with balance; otherwise your journey towards success will turn into an obsession that will ruin everything that you truly love in life.
Success is not a destination. It’s a journey, and it’s important that we take each step feeling grounded and balanced. Spend time with your loved ones, enjoy your hobby or follow your passion, take care of your health and grow spiritually. This is the meaning of true success, the one that you can achieve only in balance.
I think that you are able to be successful. It is your right and purpose in life to be successful in whatever you are doing. If you believe in that then nothing will ever stop you from living a balanced and joyous li

it was called lost memories
Yesterday, I read a blog by a person who was explaining how we become who we are and lost childhood memories can have a big influence. She went on to list 9 statements that we may have heard as a child, and possibly have forgotten. They were the following:
1 You are good.
2 You are wanted.
3 You are loved for your self.
4 You are seen for who you are
5 Your needs are not a problem.
6 You are safe.
7 You will be taken care of.
8 You will never be betrayed.
9 Your presence matters.
She said that these words might strike a cord or memory. I admit I didn't finish reading the blog as I wanted to either cry or laugh. I read them to my friend and he laughed.
I do not want to tell this to gain sympathy, because in its own way it taught me. Some good and a lot bad
Now I do not wish to offend any one but we are 68 & 70 years in age and trust me any child in those years never heard any thing like that.
For me personally it was my step mother who gave me the most memories, or in my case nightmares My parents were divorced when I was 3 years old, My father remarried, very quickly to a 17 year old girl.Who said" You are rotten and bad several times a day. She told my brother and my self that she didn't need to be there to look after us, that she hated us and my brother was sent out side and I was sent to my room. The same conditions arose when ever company was in the home, I was told not to be forward and to go to my room as no one liked me We were advise that our father would be told about what terrible children we had been during that day, yet he never never asked us or for that matter punished us, that was up to our mother. I do not know when I started biting my nails but my fingers were always bloody as I pulled the nail off, as well as the skin all around the nail. my mother made me wear white gloves all the time, and yet I still was able to bite my nails. I was 32 before I was able to over come that habit, and only because I had dentures.
I was sent to a doctor when I was 10 because I was so fat that my mother didn't want to be seen in public with me I remember this because I was given pure ephedrine and was higher than a kite for 2 years I was high but didn't ever loose the weight.
When I got married at 19 I asked my aunt to drive me to the church as I didn't want to ride with my Dad and Mom.
I will talk about my marriage latter, but all the negative input I received set me up for an even worse marriage.
